Game modes

Find your way to play Approx.

The same range-guessing idea, with different ways to compete. Start with a few solo rounds, invite friends or plan for a tournament.

Single-player campaigns

Explore connected levels on a map and compete against bots. Each level has its own rules and objectives.

You must finish first for completed objectives to earn stars. Replaying a level is a chance to improve your result and collect objectives you missed.

Daily challenge

One daily setup gives everyone a comparable challenge against bots with fixed answers. Play the daily, then compare your result on its leaderboard.

Past leaderboards let you look back at earlier challenges. This mode suits a short regular visit rather than arranging a group game.

Custom multiplayer

Create or join a public game, or invite friends into a private lobby. Configure categories, scoring, power-ups and timings. Bots can fill spare places.

This is the flexible option for a quiz night, a quick competition or trying a different rules preset.

Scheduled tournaments

Register before the published deadline, review the entry fee and rules, and arrive for the scheduled start. Tournaments may use knockout or upper/lower brackets.

In an upper/lower bracket, dropping from the upper bracket can still leave a route to the grand final through the lower bracket. Advancement and prizes depend on that tournament configuration; check its details before registering.

What about ranked play?

Ranked play is planned and is not available yet. Campaigns, custom games, the daily challenge and scheduled tournaments are the current ways to play.
