Privacy Policy
Last updated 17 October 2026
Approx stores account-linked game records to provide gameplay and account features, and uses separate anonymous daily totals to understand game usage. This policy explains what that means.
01Who operates Approx
Approx is operated by MILAN VUČIĆ PR RAČUNARSKO PROGRAMIRANJE VUČKO 2016 BEOGRAD, Vidikovački Venac 67, Beograd, Serbia. The operator decides why and how account and gameplay information is used. For privacy questions or requests, contact vucic94@yahoo.com.
02Information we handle
Depending on how you use Approx, our systems handle:
- account details such as username, email address, account settings, and a securely hashed password; guest accounts use a generated username and still have an internal account identifier;
- gameplay details such as games joined, answers and ranges submitted, scores, rounds, objectives, power-up use, player and lobby identifiers, and timestamps;
- questions you create, their answers, categories and source URLs, and any report or reason you submit about a question;
- ROX balances and reward transactions, campaign progress, referrals, achievements, and notifications associated with an account;
- messages sent in lobby, game and spectator chats, together with sender identifiers, timestamps, message reports and block preferences. Chat is saved to investigate safety reports and abuse. Reported messages and nearby context can be reviewed by authorized administrators.
- technical and security information. Approx records timing for slow server requests with the request method and path. The hosting and network services needed to deliver Approx may also process connection information such as IP address, browser details, and timestamps.
03Why we use it
We use information to:
- create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and provide games, saved scores, progress, leaderboards, rewards, and support;
- store and moderate submitted questions and reports, prevent cheating and abuse, and investigate technical problems;
- understand product usage through aggregate counts such as starts, completions, abandoned or stale sessions, rounds played, and session duration;
- operate the service, maintain security, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
04Game usage totals
For current usage measurement, an active game is temporarily represented by its lobby identifier so progress can be counted. When the game ends or is classified as stale, that temporary record is folded into totals grouped by date and game type, then deleted. The retained totals do not contain account IDs, usernames, or lobby IDs. Saved game results and account histories remain linked to active players so the game can provide those features.
Some older records allow us to count completed games and daily challenge attempts. An old daily attempt with no completion or explicit abort may be treated as likely abandoned. The available history does not let us identify every abandoned game or reconstruct all past session durations.
05When information is shared
We do not sell account or gameplay information. We share information only as needed to provide Approx, protect the service, or meet legal obligations. Approx’s application is hosted on a DigitalOcean droplet in Germany. DigitalOcean and any infrastructure providers used to operate that server may process information for Approx. Authorized people who operate or support the service may also access information when needed.
Brevo processes recipient email addresses and account-email contents to deliver email verification, password reset and account security messages. These messages are requested by account actions; they are not newsletters.
Community statistics and leaderboards display usernames and gameplay or approved-contribution totals to other visitors, including visitors without an account. These public statistics do not display account email addresses or sign-in details.
The site serves its own font files. Rewarded ads are disabled for launch, and Approx does not load the Google advertising script. We will update the policy and provide any required consent choices before enabling advertising.
06Storage and retention
You can delete your account from your profile or at the public Delete account page. Deletion removes sign-in details and account-linked profile, reward, progress, question, report, notification, and personal game-result records. In a shared multiplayer result, the deleted player and their answers are removed while other players’ results remain. Temporary active game state is removed or the player is removed from a shared game. Anonymous daily usage totals are retained for product analysis. Technical logs and backups may retain copies temporarily until they expire under operational retention settings.
We do not currently apply one fixed deletion period to every account record, backup, or technical log. We determine retention based on the purpose described above, operational needs, and applicable legal requirements, and delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed for those purposes.
07Your choices and rights
Depending on the laws that apply where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or limits on certain personal information, and to object to or request a copy of certain processing. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. To make a request, email vucic94@yahoo.com; your account email or username may be needed to locate the relevant records.
Account deletion removes account-linked history that is specific to that player. Shared game records and aggregate game totals may be retained without the player’s account ID or username; anonymous aggregate totals cannot be located or removed by player.
08Security
Passwords are stored as password hashes, and authentication tokens are stored in the browser’s local storage so you can stay signed in. Do not use a shared device without signing out. We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to operating an online game, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
09Age requirement and younger players
Approx is available to people aged 16 and over at launch. We encourage curiosity through family-friendly numerical questions, which must be manually approved before appearing in games. We record confirmation of the minimum age, without collecting a date of birth.
Approx is not offered to children under 16 at this stage, including through guest accounts. If you believe someone under 16 has an account, or wish to raise a younger player privacy concern, contact vucic94@yahoo.com. Guest play still involves the gameplay and technical information described in this policy.
